Goal: delete the (1) history, (2) cookies and temporary Internet files and (3) auto-complete information.

With Internet Explorer open do the following:
 

1. Click on 'Tools', >'Internet Options', >'Clear History', >'OK'. Close any open Windows.
2. Click on 'Tools', >'Settings', >'View Files', >Select all items (by clicking on any item and holding down Ctrl and A) and hit delete. Close any open Windows.
3. Click on 'Tools', 'Content', 'AutoComplete', 'Clear Forms', 'Clear Passwords'. Close any open Windows.

For more advanced users running Win 2K or XP you need to delete the DNS Cache on your computer.

In addition to the above mentioned steps do the following:
 

1. Click on 'Start', >'Run', >type cmd
2. At the command prompt type, ipconfig /flushdns
3. Type exit
